So far great! September 6, 2010 Cinnamon We washed these up and my daughter used it the first time today, with good success! At first my husband tried it and said it was really hard to suck, but after I mooshed the valve in the straw a couple times it was fine. I'm familiar with these kind of valves from her other sippy and I know they tend to stick closed after washing. Our 1 year old used it no problem. She loves to drink from straws ("smoothies" made from milk, fruit and veggies are a primary tool for getting food in my busy girl!), and now she can't whip the straw out and strafe Mama and the wall with pureed spinach!
one of the worst cups August 31, 2010 Herzog (United States) Please do not buy this cup. I used to like Munchkin products until this product. I already put this in trash, not because i like to waste, because it is that horrible. This cup is impossible to give thorough cleaning. That means your child will probably drink moldy water or whatever you put in it. It is truly worst design out there. Positive reviews are wrong. It also dissasembles like puzzle. I bought pack of straws for a couple of bucks and it is a hit with my child (15 month old). Buy Born Free sippy cups or just use regular cup with straw.
Best Cup We've Found August 19, 2010 J. Wharton These cups are the only ones that our son can reliably drink from. They never spill, are easy to clean (the lid completely disassembles for easy washing) and are sturdy as heck. The only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars is because, with milk, it tends to overflow. This doesn't happen with water or juice, so I assume it has something to do with the vacuum in the straw (as another poster mentioned) and the density of the milk -- it just sometimes starts to flow up the straw on its own and releases a very small quantity.
Bought it yesterday, returning it today- Cant get the straw in August 15, 2010 Krissy.Angel22 (Arizona) The shape is nice, though a bit tough to open and close, I cant imagine a young child doing it. After my son was done using last night for the first time, I removed the straw to clean the cup and straw. Now I can't get the straw back in. Is the straw not supposed to come out?
I don't know, but too much work. Maybe sippy cups with straws aren't worth the trouble.
Probably the best Straw Cup August 14, 2010 Sydney We have been using these cups since my daughter transitioned from the bottle. We have at least a dozen of them. They DO NOT leak as long as you screw the cap on correctly. I really like that the liquid doesn't bubble up and out of the straw due to pressure. The only problem with these cups is the assembly and re-assembly of the straw within the top. I can't explain it other than it is like trying to thread a needle blind-folded. For this reason I do not take the straws out very often and place them in the dish-washer as they are. But if you find one half-full of juice underneath the seat in your car that has been there for a week, you don't have much of a choice. I still love these cups though and will continue to buy them until we transistion to a real cup.
