Very Disappointing!!! September 1, 2010 Jack's Mommy I bought this for my son and at first it was really cute and he enjoyed it. But the product stopped working after only about 1 month - it wasn't gradual at all. The screen stopped scrolling regardless of how many new batteries we've tried. I won't be buying any more Baby Einstein products. Definitely do not purchase!
good idea, broke after 3 months August 30, 2010 twinmom Purchased two, we have 9 month old twins. Loved the progressive shut down and the ability to have white noise or music. Began to use them at 6 months. In three months have replaced the batteries once, pretty good since we use it every night. One seems to be short circuiting and the other has a dead motor now. Bought a new pack of brand name batteries yesterday and the fish tank just will not work at all, no lights, no music, nothing. What a bummer. Baby wants his fish tv.
A life saver! August 29, 2010 MeL (Katy, TX) My 19 month old absolutely loves this soother. He has been going to sleep with it since about 12 months. We used the Rain Forest soother before and after forgetting it at grandma's once, we purchased this one instead. It plays a lot longer than the others on the market, which has worked great for my son who takes a while to go to sleep. The music is soothing and he loves his fish! I do agree that if you play it a lot you have to replace the batteries. But that is true with any product. We always keep an extra set of C4s on hand in case the batteries die right before he is going to bed.
Baby Einstein Neptune Soother August 29, 2010 Kathy Zellermayer This wonderful item entertains my grandson in his crib when he is awake and also soothes him to sleep.
Entertaining for baby but definitely eats the batteries August 20, 2010 Amber Jerman (San Diego, CA USA) My baby was entertained by this product although unfortunately it was not instrumental in him falling asleep. It has however been helpful when he is laying in his crib for a few minutes and needs some entertainment to allow mom to get a few things completed.
Quite the battery monster.
