there was no plush fish and only 2 carts instead of 3. the melodies are not classic but weird video game noises, very annoying,plus the flash lights are not good for baby's development as they can trigger seizures

This is very bright and colorful, and soothing at the same time. I was most impressed with the music box that comes with it. The music is not the usual annoying obnoxious music that most kids toys have. It's very calming, and with babies I like calming not obnoxious.My daughters are 12 and 9 and they got excited when they saw this play gym. They can't wait to play with their new baby brother with this set.

BEWARE: The ocean discovery cards featuring real life images of 6 underwater animals have "stickers" on the plastic circles which can be chewed off. Very poor choice of material for this age group which put everything in their mouth. I took these attachments away, but absolutely love everything else about the gym. I would have given it 5 stars otherwise. My son started rolling within a day of using this mat. The colorful mat gave him a great incentive to want to be on his tummy. The octopus is designed very well because it hangs above his head but he can pull it down and it reaches perfectly to chew on. The music is less annoying than most toys.

Wow - when we registered for this item, I never imagined my son would enjoy it so much! As a premie, it took him until he was about 2 months old to really enjoy this. Before that, he was a little overwhelmed. We did not turn on the musical sea attachment at first because we were a little worried about overstimulation. After a few enjoyable "sessions" (about 5-10 minutes at a time), we attached the musical sea attachment and placed it on the "movement" setting. Our son has to activate the music by grabbing and pulling on one of the hanging toys or kick the sea attachment directly. He LOVED it and it really helps with cause and effect. Now, at 5 months old, he still really enjoys his limited "alone time" playing with this playmat. We have slowly introduced different ones of the hanging toys and it's nice because the Einstein holders will accomodate other toys hanging from the playmat as well. This has become of the most used items we have in the house! Nice job Baby Einstein!
