| Customer Reviews: playtex baby einstein mealtime set stage 2 March 17, 2010 Cathy Fanelli (New Port Richey, FL, US) great set bought it for a baby shower and my friend loved it looks very sturdy, easy clean up.
Good Bowl December 12, 2007 Lisa O'Connor (Glen Ellen, CA United States) I've tried a lot of the various mealtime bowls and plates for my toddler. I really like this bowl as it doesn't move around much and is very sturdy and it is also big enough to use for soup or cereal w/milk. My only complaint, which goes true for most of the brands, is that you are not supposed to put it in the microwave. Other than that, it is so far the best bowl I've tried for the baby.
Five stars for the bowl, three for the spoon, one for the fork November 9, 2007 sunshinedrop (Williamsburg, OH USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The bowl that comes with this set is awesome. It is sturdy enough to withstand being thrown on the floor constantly and repeated washing. We have had the set for almost a year and use the bowl at least once a day and it is not fading or chipping. It is almost as good as when it came out of the box! It is also nice because it has a rubber ring on the bottom that keeps it from sliding all over the table. It is a perfect size for toddler size portions of cereal, snacks or anything else they eat.
As for the silverware, I give three stars to the spoon and one star to the fork. They angled them strange, which might make it easier to pick up food, but it is so different from my kids other silverware, that they have a hard time switching back and forth. The cup of the spoon is almost flat, which is fine for things like yogurt that stick to the spoon, but it makes picking up cereal or even attempting to eat something runny like soup impossible. The fork is even worse! I have tried to give my son the fork, but the tines are so far apart that it is hard for him to stab or hold onto anything--spaghetti is particularly difficult. I have quit using the fork all together. Also, after a years use, the paint is chipping off the handles of the silverware, but I would expect that of something used many times a week.
Overall, I would recommend this set if you are looking for a good sturdy bowl. If you are more interested in the silverware, they don't seem really practical.
