We bought this for our 18-month-old daughter, and she is enchanted with it. My 4-year-old son likes to turn the handle for her. It's a very unique jack-in-the-box with cute, folksy charm.

My 7-month old grandaughter loves the horse that pops out of the box and believe it or not she has already learned how to get him to jump out for her. She does, however, get a little impatient at times. It is a wonderful toy.

We got this toy for my 1 year old daughter for her birthday. I thought she might be a little afraid of the pony popping up but she loves it. Her older brothers (4 1/2 and 3) showed her how it works, and delighted in it themselves.
Not only does my daughter love to watch her brothers make the pony pop up, but she figured out how to turn the knob herself and make it play music. She hasn't been able to do it long enough for the pony to pop up, but I'm sure she will soon.
After about 2 weeks, we noticed that the pony was popping up randomly during the song. I called the company to tell them about it, and they're shipping us a new one. They didn't ask any questions or need a receipt and date of purchase, etc. They were extremely pleasant to deal with.
I gave the pony 4 stars overall because I'm hoping that the next one won't malfunction in the same way. I imagine that if it does, Schylling will take care of us one way or another.

I purchased this darling "Pony In The Box" for my 2 year old grandson. He LOVES horses so naturally this was right up his alley! This toy is colorful, durable, easy to "re-load" and plays a clear version of "Home on the Range" until the pony pops up...and he "neighs" 3 times when he does! I highly recommend this toy. It is so well built, like the "old fashioned" ones.
